I have never used a CC cream before. In fact the first time I even heard about it was about a year and a half ago when I was at Heathrow airport in a duty-free shop. I had no clue what the big deal was and rolled my eyes at the idea of yet another foundation-like product.

And yet here I am, over a year later for the first time trying this unnecessary invention of the make-up industry.

The Loreal's CC Cream is probably the most well-know one out of all of them and therefore I thought it would be a safe purchase. My skin is quite pink, can be very easily irritated and just changed colour for no apparent reason. However, even though I would normally be looking for an at least medium coverage product I was seduced by the idea of something light for the summer.



The consistency is very liquidy. In fact my face cream or even body moisturiser seems thicker than this. And I was sceptical. On top of this product was sort of green and I wasn't very convinced I would be able to see it on my skin at all. And so I applied the under eye and day cream and with my fingers put the CC Cream on top. The texture was lovely - incredibly silky and so easy to distribute over the skin. At first I wasn't certain if I could see the difference but then my skin did look different. And so I finished with a concealer under my eyes and in the corners of my mouth, dusted a little powder and added a bit of shiny bronzer and did my eyes.

And then I just fell in love with it.

It was so simple to use, I didn't even notice it at first on my face. But after a while I realised that this is just the perfect product for all of those hot steamy days when you're feeling your skin is melting let alone the make-up! It was perfect coverage, very light but great for my red pigmentation and although it didn't cover my blemishes it left my face looking incredibly fresh and glowy!

This product is just amazing, exactly what I wanted and although I will most likely be trying other things out before I'd repurchase it I think it will definitely be one of my favourites this summer.
